Jennifer Medrano, LAC – Founder/Therapist

As a first-generation Latina, I understand the personal, professional, and social struggles that are present in everyday life. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2017 and with my master’s degree in 2019 from Colorado State University. Throughout my early years in the field, I have provided therapy to a large variety of clients. I have found that my passions lie in working with people struggling with substance use and marginalized groups.

As a potential client, I want you to feel understood and secure. I recognize that reaching out for help can be incredibly challenging and often comes with feelings of shame. My utmost priority is to cultivate a nurturing environment that encourages your healing process. Together, we will engage in a collaborative therapeutic journey, setting goals that truly resonate with your unique path.

My vision for Creating Connections Recovery Services is to establish a community that empowers mental health professionals in reaching underserved populations. Every client deserves not only quality care but also the unwavering support of compassionate providers who truly understand their journey.

Michelle Johnson, LPC, LAC – Therapist

My name is Michelle Johnson, Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe in the person-centered approach and believe that everyone is the author of their lives, and they should be able to make their own choices without fear of judgment from others. My area of focus is anxiety, depression, abuse and neglect, substance abuse issues, grief, relationship issues, parent child conflict, legal issues, trauma, domestic violence victims and perpetrators, infidelity, midlife transitions, and immediate crisis.

I work with adolescents 14 and up, couples, family, and adults. I feel most comfortable with working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, abuse, and crisis situations, parent child conflict, and legal issues.

My tone is calm, and I believe in creating a safe place for clients to discuss their issues. Previous and current clients always say that I’m a good listener, patient, and I meet people where they are and I go at the pace of the client.
